a5c7b9f00b The untold story of Superman's grandfatherhe fights for justice on his home planet. Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, KRYPTON follows Superman's grandfather - whose House of El was ostracized and shamed -he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Honestly… this is a bad show. And it should be so bad, that it shouldn't even be close to being worth watching. But 'Krypton' has found a way to be laughably bad, and entertaining at the same time.

The old school Krypton mythos has been TOTALLY destroyed. Krypton was a highly advanced, SPACE GOING civilization, that was at least 10,000 years more advanced than modern Earth. There is very little evidence of this Krypton in this show. This Krypton is more like underbelly of NYC, with a few tech gadgets thrown in. So basically, this show can take place on Modern day NYC, London, Tokyo, or Hong Kong. You have a so-called highly advanced society, that worships some pantomime with a gold, multi-faced head??? You have your typical PC utopia that is standard of today's movies/TV: A multicultural society ON ANOTHER FREAKIN PLANET, Women who are so bad assed that they(even with their tiny size) can beat the living crap out of every guy they run into(sigh), everybody looks like some super model Baywatch cast member. The only thing missing is the beach. You have the overcooked love triangle, that is nauseating to say the least. And you have the hero, who really doesn't want to be a hero, but he says oh well, I'll do it anyway. Then probably the most ridiculous part of this show is the time traveler. You have a guy who goes back in time to save Superman??? Superman hasn't even been born yet, and Braniac taking Kandor, is part of the events that lead to Superman's birth. So why again, do we need a time traveler? If he just let's everything progress, Superman gets born anyway. Dumb.

However… this show does have an 80's action feel to it. There is some pretty good sci-fi shoot'em ups, and the fight scenes(even the too tough chicks) are done well. And there is enough deceit and back stabbing(literally) to keep you interested. I guess I'm a sucker for sci-fi, even bad sci-fi, so I do at least have to finish watching it. And at least General Zod is somewhat interesting, he's probably the best thing about the series.

Call me a fool…but I'll keep watching this train wreck. The storyline is so exciting, the acting superb, I can't wait for the next episode.

We'll done SYFY. This is your best so far.

Thank you.
